About

Kiki Kane-Owens

After sustaining a major back injury resulting in surgery in 2022, I’ve spent the second half of my 20s rehabilitating my body. Pilates has served as a way to understand my brain-body connection, heal from injury, gain strength, and regulate my nervous system.

My goal as a teacher is to make Pilates an accessible and inclusive healing practice for people of all bodies and backgrounds. I’m passionate about fostering an approachable and creative movement experience that enables embodiment and healing. Through my teaching, I aim to cultivate a sense of community and guide others in letting go of judgment, embracing movement, and feeling at home in their bodies.

Certifications: The Kane School at Kinected. Comprehnsive anatomy, Mat and full Apparatus.

Specialities: Lower back pain, injury recovery, beginners.

I’m a born and raised New Yorker and feel pretty connected to my identity as such. I spend my time connecting with people I love, dancing, camping and backpacking, laughing and hanging out on the ~streets~.

My work welcomes new movers and seasoned practioners alike; I’m deeply committed to creating community within my work, and I look forward to getting to know you!
